What can be said about Andy that hasn’t already been said a million times by his probation officer, numerous creditors and outraged former employers?

Born in the picture postcard Yorkshire port of Goole, Andy started playing guitar at junior school and was easily the best guitarist in his class until well into his early teens.

Work and pursuit of his first wife brought Andy to the south where his first wife promptly divorced him leaving him free to follow his musical star.

Since then Andy has honed his craft in a number of busy working bands including South London rocking blues belters Fat Chance, nu-country troupe John Ede and the River Bottom Band, pub sensations Moanin’ Lisa and most recently Blues Deluxe led by Mike Ellis - the Lambourn Delta’s own John Mayall.

Andy’s influences run from Hank Marvin to Edward Van Halen but most people compare him to Ritchie Blackmore – they say “Compared to Ritchie Blackmore, you’re crap”. Why not play “spot the lick” during scarlett’s set to see how many of the old guitar masters Andy, er… “quotes” from?
